365 Total Backup can recover to a variety of file-type options including PST, HTML, and ZIP - Windows endpoint backup & policies: Policy-based, file-level backup for Windows endpoints. Set up rules for entire groups of Windows-powered laptops and desktops by defining policies for backup folders, cloud-based storage, frequency, and retention duration.
- Low recovery point objective: You can program backups of Microsoft 365 data to take place automatically up to four times per day, achieving a low recovery point objective (RPO) to minimize potential data loss.
- Search and browse backups: Backups are searchable and browsable via a library of filters, allowing you to find data quickly and restore it easily.
- Comprehensive audits: Review a variety of activities like users enabling/disabling mailboxes, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint backups; their data browsing history; and their requests for data restoration. Audit data can be exported as needed.
- Advanced security: All backed up data can be secured through military-grade AES 256-bit encryption. Hornetsecurity/Altaro 365 Total Backup also offers two-factor authentication (2FA) and supports granular access rights for users.
- Unlimited storage and point-in-time recovery: Microsoft 365 does not provide a way for Exchange Online customers to make backups, which can seriously impede recovery from ransomware. M365 OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online limit point-in-time recoveries to a maximum of 30 days, which may not be compliant in certain regulated industries or with your own corporate policy.
