• Back up to multiple remote locations: For better robustness, you can create copies of VMs on multiple off-premises locations including multiple clouds like Azure and Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3).

• Restore as Clone: You can recover a virtual machine backup to a new destination with a new name, permitting the cloned virtual machine to run alongside the original virtual machine. This eliminates the need to write over active virtual machines.
• Recover to Different Host: You can recover a virtual machine backup to a new or different host. The virtual machine can be recovered from the on-prem backup location, or directly from the offsite copy location. (You may not cross-restore between Windows Hyper-V and VMware Hypervisors.)
• Boot from Backup: You can instantly boot any virtual machine copy from the backup location either for testing or to achieve a major reduction in RTO in a disaster recovery scenario.
• File-Level Restore: You can quickly restore specific files from any VM backup.
• WAN-Optimized Replication: You can make ongoing backups of your virtual machines to a different location and transfer immediately to the copy location in the event that a calamity disables your main virtual machines. This can dramatically shrink your Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and get you back in business fast.
• Microsoft Exchange Item-Level Restore: You can retrieve individual emails and attachments from within the Exchange Mailbox database.
