Elements of UniFi Wireless Networks
Key components of the UniFi line of Wi-Fi infrastructure products include a rich portfolio of Wave 2 wireless APs, high-performance managed switches, and security gateways to handle routing and firewall support. All these components can be managed by the free UniFi Controller software. Your Wi-Fi LAN can also include non-UniFi network products like switches, routers and security appliances, but UniFi Controller software tools only monitor and control UniFi products. Ubiquiti also offers a no-cost Mobile App for iOS and Android handheld devices, allowing you to configure UniFi appliances for initial setup without requiring you to install the UniFi Controller software.
The selection of devices available within the Ubiquiti UniFi line allows you to design optimal wireless solutions for a broad range of usage scenarios. Value-priced UniFi wireless appliances offer the on-premises and online connectivity required for home offices or micro-branches. High-bandwidth or mesh Wi-Fi APs provide the throughput and coverage required for high client density environments like corporate HQs or auditoriums. Ubiquiti UniFi's wireless access points with specialized antennas offer sufficient signal strength to pass through hotel and dormitory walls. Ruggedized UniFi Wi-Fi access points can survive the harsh environments of venues such as warehouses or open stadiums.
All these UniFi Wi-Fi appliances can be set up, administered, optimized, protected, patched and debugged seamlessly across many different sites with a unified management system. Progent can help you to assess your various Wi-Fi venues to determine which UniFi devices make the best business sense and Progent can help you to design the most efficient way to implement and administer them.
