Progent is seeking Desktop Support Experts to help Progent's customers with maintenance, break/fix and project work. This is a 1099 consulting role that will be performed at Progent's client locations in the . Daytime availability is required, Monday through Friday. Our consultant will maintain and support clients of all desktop and laptop computers based on current Microsoft technologies. Also, work extensively with client's executives, management, IT staff or under the direction or guidance of Progent's senior consultant to support the customer's end users.

    • Support, diagnose and troubleshoot problems with all releases of Microsoft Windows-based workstation and laptop computer systems and others as needed.
    • Work directly with computer users in helping to find and fix app and operating system issues that hinder productivity
    • Deploy, configure and verify a variety of popular apps on user PCs
    • Work on-premises to find and resolve both emergency and persistent problems that affect the stability, security, speed, connectivity, and overall functionality of desktops, laptops, imaging devices and other hardware
    • Install new end-user hardware and help with other installations, upgrades, and swaps of workstations, notebooks and associated hardware
    • Assure the timely analysis and remediation of desktops and notebooks and associated equipment
